How to Stream on Multiple Platforms With Riverside in 2026

I want to show you how you can use Riverside’s features to stream on multiple platforms.

Whether you want to be on YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitch, one, or all of these places, you can control everything inside of one hub.

I’m not a huge streamer myself, but I have several clients who actually prioritize streaming.

They’ve used StreamYard and all sorts of other tools in the past.
I’ve also gotten more questions in the comments about how Riverside’s streaming features work.

I can’t speak to StreamYard or other platforms because I’ve never used them personally.

I do have several clients who have made the jump.

There’s one person I can think of who stuck with StreamYard.

He’s primarily a streamer, and I think it was mostly because of familiarity.

He liked knowing how to work everything.

Everyone else I can think of has seamlessly transferred over after using other platforms.

How to Set Up a Multi-platform Stream

Once you’re logged into Riverside, you can either hit Record or Go Live.

Both options lead you to the studio, which is essentially the same place.

At this stage, you want to make sure that if you’re not using headphones, you select that option so echo cancellation is turned on.

This helps avoid background noise.

This is especially important if you’re streaming with multiple people.

If you do have headphones, make sure to select that.

You also want to make sure all of your inputs are set correctly.

This includes your camera, microphone, and speakers.

Once everything looks good, you can hit Join Studio.

When you’re in the studio for the first time and don’t have anything connected, you’ll typically see the livestream option.

If it’s not visible, you can access it at any time by tapping on Live Stream.

When livestream is toggled on, hitting Record will start a livestream.

If you toggle it off, it will just be a normal recording.

This is a one-time setup for each platform.
YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn are shown by default.

If you click More, you’ll also see Twitch and TikTok.

You select the platforms you want to stream to and follow the instructions to integrate each account with Riverside.

If you want viewers to watch directly inside Riverside, you can turn that option on and copy the link.

Instead of sending people to YouTube, you could send them directly there.

Features, Clipping, and Why It Matters

If you’re streaming by yourself, you can close the side panel to see exactly what viewers see.

The Script feature lets you add notes, bullets, or questions without disrupting eye contact.

It’s positioned in a way that doesn’t feel distracting.

You can hide it instantly when you’re done.

The People tab shows everyone inside the recording and stream.

The Chat feature includes a studio chat for hosts, producers, and guests.

The chat transcript can be downloaded, but it’s cleared after the session ends.

The Brand section lets you add logos and brand colors.

The Text area lets you create call-to-action overlays during the stream.

The Media tab lets you trigger applause, laughter, or cheering in real time.

One of the biggest benefits of Riverside is that you get the recording files immediately after streaming.

On other platforms, chat overlays and lower resolution can limit reuse.

I had a client whose channel grew from a couple thousand to over 500,000 subscribers.

She streamed for hours, but we repurposed 10, 20, and 30-minute clips as standalone videos.

Live viewers still watched the clips afterward.

This made the content more accessible and targeted.

You can also repurpose streams into Shorts.

When the stream ends, it appears as a recording inside Riverside.

You can use the built-in editor and AI tools to clip and refine everything in one place.

You can share your screen, present, or react to content using the Presentation feature.

On the Live tier, you can stream in 1080p and stream to multiple platforms at once.
OmniChat lets you manage public comments from platforms like YouTube inside Riverside.

If you have technical issues, Riverside lets you copy technical details instantly for support.

This helps their team troubleshoot without back-and-forth explanations.
